Tamim named icon player for Bhairahawa Gladiators

Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal is set to play in Nepal's Everest T20 Premier League for Bhairahawa Gladiators. Tamim has also been made the icon cricketer of the team, confirmed by the franchise.
Tamim received the No Objection Certificate from the Bangladesh Cricket Board to play in the EPL on September 9. Tamim confirmed the development in a video message on Saturday.

"Really excited to be part of Bhairahawa Gladiators. I’m looking forward to play in the Everest Premier League. See you all soon,” Tamim said.
The left-arm opener is yet to fully recover from a knee injury. He is scheduled to start batting in the middle of this month.
West Indies Chris Gayle, South Africa’s Hashim Amla, Nepal’s Sandeep Lamichhane, Sri Lanka's Dinesh Chandimal and Upul Tharanga, Afghanistan's Rashid Khan will feature in the Nepal Premier League.
EPL will start on September 25 and the 14-day event will finish on October 9.
