Shakib Al Hasan is all set to return to the field after the suspension of three matches for losing his temper and kicking the stumps during the ongoing DPL match between Mohammedan-Abahani. The all-rounder was fined BDT 5 lakh by the Cricket Committee of Dhaka Metropolitan (CCDM).

Shakib missed the game against Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity, Brothers Union and Old DOHS. However, he will be seen playing against the Gazi Group Cricketers on Thursday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur after completing the ban.

Meanwhile, Shakib will enter the bio-bubble again before returning to the field in the last match of the Round-robin League. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) physician Manjur Hossain Chowdhury has confirmed to Cricfrenzy that Shakib has already tested negative twice.

“Shakib left the bio-bubble zone during the suspension period. However, he will enter the bubble before returning to the field. He already tested negative twice for coronavirus. Now he can enter the bubble,” he said.

The incident occurred when umpire Imran Parvez denied an LBW appeal, the southpaw lost his cool and spotted kicking the stumps in frustration while engaged in a heated conversation with the umpire and later uprooted the stumps again after the umpire called a halt to the game in the sixth over owing to rain.

Meanwhile, it has also been seen that the left-hander was also involved in a heated discussion with the Abahani coach Khaled Mahmud who also happens to be the BCB Director.
