DPDLT20: Old DOHS beat Khelaghar by 17 runs, Rupganj seal their first victory

Old DOHS sports club beat Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Smity by a 17 runs in the Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League T20 at BKSP-3 Ground, Savar. In the other match, Legends of Rupganj registered their first victory in DPL against Shinepukur Cricket club by 14 runs.
In chase of the target of 121 runs set by Old DOHS, the opponent Khelaghar were restricted on 103 runs losing five wickets. The opener Rafsan Al Mahmud took early exit, then Imtiaz Hossain (33) and the captain Jahurul Islam helped the side to put 71 runs on the board.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz departed scoring 2 runs being Lbw by Rakibul Hasan, then Masum Khan scored 16 runs. At the end of the innings, Rakibul bagged two wickets and Hamidul Islam, Asaduzzaman Payel got one wicket each.
Earlier, Old DOHS elected to bat first, they scored 120 runs losing four wickets in 13 overs.
Opener Anisul Islam Emon got off to a good start with Rakin Ahmed, however, Rakin departed early. Then, Rayan Rahman joined the crease who scored 37 runs. Anisul was bowled by Miraz, he was in short of 6 runs to hit fifty before his dismissal. Anisul scored 44 runs off 27 balls, struck four fours and one six.
Mahmudul Hasan Joy remained unbeaten on 29 runs off 14 balls, for Khelaghar Khaled Ahmed bagged three wickets and Miraz got one. Anisul Islam was adjudged the man of the match for his incredible 44 runs in the match.
While, Rupganj scored 81 for 6 in 12 overs, with Sunzamul Islam scoring an innings of 24 off 17 balls. Despite a 23-ball 30 from Mahidul Islam, Shinepukur could only manage 67 losing six wickets in 12 overs. Nabil Samad shined with the ball as he took three wickets for just a single run in two overs.
