The Bangladesh Cricket Board said on Monday (May 31) that they will not issue no-objection certificates to Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman for the remaining of the 2021 Indian Premier League since they will be busy practicing with the national squad for the ICC T20 World Cup.
"It is almost impossible to provide NOC (for IPL) considering our international commitments. I don't see any chance of giving it (NOC) to them. We have the (T20) world cup coming up and now every match is important,'' BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon was quoted saying by Ekattor TV, a private news channel in Bangladesh.

Shakib and Mustafiz, who played for the Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals in the 14th edition of the IPL, returned from India on May 6 after the tournament was postponed owing to a rash of Covid-19 positive cases within the IPL bio-bubble.
Bangladesh is likely to have a hectic schedule at that time, as they will be hosting Australia, England, and New Zealand, respectively. The IPL's anticipated dates are likely to conflict with Bangladesh's home series.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India, during its Special General Meeting, formally decided that the remainder of IPL 2021 - 31 matches - will be held in the United Arab Emirates, where the tournament was hosted last year. The formal decision was taken on May 29 in view of the "monsoon season" in the country around September-October.
