Tamim hits 14000 international runs

Tamim Iqbal became the first Bangladesh player to reach the milestone of 14,000 runs in international cricket in three formats. The Bangladesh ODI captain has achieved such a feat in the first ODI of the three-match series against Sri Lanka.
Tamim has played 356 matches for Bangladesh in three formats. He scored 4788 runs in 64 Test matches with 9 centuries and 31 half centuries in Tests. He also has a double century in white cricket.

In 214 ODIs he made 7457 runs for Bangladesh including the first ODI of the series against Sri Lanka.
The left-arm batsman has 13 centuries and 50 half-centuries in this ODi format. Meanwhile, in T20I cricket, he has scored 1,758 runs in 78 matches.
Tamim is the only batsman who has scored a hundred for Bangladesh in this format. The left-arm opener has scored seven centuries in the T20s so far.
Tamim also emerged into the list of 10 openers to have scored most international runs. The list is led by Sri Lanka legend Sanath Jayasuriya, West Indies opener Chris Gayle at number two with followed by former South Africa opener Graeme Smith at number three.
