The first Test draw between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, which was dominated by the both team batsmen. However, Taskin Ahmed and Ebadat Hossain also caught the eye with the ball in such a track in Pallekele. Both bowled long spells with good pace, which inspired young pacer Shoriful Islam.
Although Shoriful could not play the match, he feels lucky to see the Test match from so close. “Taskin bhai is doing long spells, doing a lot of overs. Taskin Bhai, Ebadat Bhai and Rahi Bhai [Abu Jayed] bowled with speed. Seeing that, I actually felt much better,” said Shoriful in a video massage.

The U-19 World Cup champion has learned a lot from watching the continuous bowling of the Taskin, who bagged three wickets and Ebadat in the scorching heat of Sri Lanka. If he gets chance, he wants to give his 100 percent.
“They are playing hard with so much pace from the beginning to the end in such heat. The Test game is such game that you have to give your 100 percent, so they also tried to give 100 percent. So if I ever get a chance, I will try to give that to In Sha Allah,' he added.
Shariful has played three matches for Bangladesh in limited-overs cricket. After playing well in the long version of domestic cricket, he has included in the Test team. This time his goal is to match himself in all three formats if he gets the opportunity.
