Bangladesh have drawn the first Test of a two-match series against Sri Lanka in Pallekele as the second and last Test of the series is going to be held at the same venue on Thursday. The Tigers have started training ahead of the series deciding match.
Both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka had added pacers to their lineups in the hopes that the apparent green top would aid fast bowling in the first Test. In five days of play, however, the bright light for pacers faded as 1,289 runs were scored on the claimed green top for the loss of only 17 wickets.

Young Pacer Shoriful Islam, who is a part of the squad said practice session ahead of the second Test is going well.
“Practice is going well. Everyone is doing extra gym, running, spot bowling. The grip of bowling, swimming are learning. So In Sha Allah if I ever play I will try to apply what I am learning in practice in the match. In Sha Allah I will try to do something good for the team,” said Shoriful.
Bangladesh have added their first Test Championship points (20 points), If they can perform like the first Test and if the pitch acts like a sporting track, the Tigers could grab another 20 points or more from the upcoming Test.
