Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has added fast bowling all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne and Lakshan Sandakan to the Sri Lanka Test squad as replacements for injured fast bowlers Lahiru Kumara.
Lahiru Kumara was ruled out with a hamstring injury while fielding on the third day of the first Test on Friday.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) confirmed the matter in a statement on Sunday (April 25th). It has been reported that these two cricketers have been included in the Sri Lankan squad for the last Test against Bangladesh.
“We will not take a risk with Lahiru Kumara’s injury at the moment and he will bat in the first Test only if the situation is really needed,” an official told the Sunday Observer yesterday.
Spinner Sandakan last played Test for the national team in 2018. After that, he could not compete with Lasith Embuldunia and Wanindu Hasaranga. Meanwhile, after 2019, Karunaratne returned to the Test team.
The second Test will take place at the same venue from 29 April to 3 May.
