Bangladesh were defeated in the final ODI of the New Zealand series by a huge margin of 164 runs, after such a defeat ODI captain Tamim Iqbal blames the poor performance of the team throughout the series for the huge defeat against New Zealand.
The captain conveyed his dissatisfaction with the team's poor fielding throughout the series. However, he also complimented the hosts on their excellent performance.

“I think we started well with the ball, they were 50-odd for three but those two guys batted really well. Sometimes small things hurt you a lot, catches, missed chances but credit to New Zealand, they were exceptional throughout the series.” Tamim said.
Tamim blames the team for not being able to make runs and poor batting. At the end of the match, the captain made no excuses, instead accepted that they did not play good cricket.
“When you are coming to this part of the world, 300 is chaseable but the way we batted was not on. There were too many loose shots. But all in all, Blackcaps were a much better team. When you come here, you know the ball will nip around, will bounce more. You have to be patient. We played two many loose shots too early and when you are three down after ten over, the game is done.”
“I am not the sort of person who will bring up quarantine issues or say we didn't get time to practice. Simply we didn't play good cricket,” He added.
