Bangladesh Emerging team fast-bowler Sumon Khan is planning for the National Cricket League (NCL) after such a splendid performance against the Ireland Wolves. Speaking about the success behind the Ireland series, Sumon said that he succeeded by performing according to his strength and skills.

“Yes, actually, I always work to improve, there is a coach, I’m doing well by his assistance. Every day is a new day, so I try to learn something new, to keep the process right. So this is how the last two matches have been good, Alhamdulillah. I believed in myself that I would be able to do better. Alhamdulillah, I am doing well from that point of view,” Sumon told the media.

"The only thing the coach instructed is to attack the stumps, not to deliver weak ball while playing with the new ball. So that's what I have tried. I have the swing, I'm in the place of my strength. And in the case of slogs, I think I am good at yorkers, I can do good back hand, also good off-cutter, I depend on them” he added.

NCL event is going to be held on the field from March 22. Sumon shared his plans for the long version of the domestic cricket tournament, "Since red ball cricket will start in the future, the plan is to try to do better when the NCL starts." Inshallah I will do something good.”

Sumon believes that Bangladesh Emerging Team is very important platform for young cricketers for becoming mentally strong and prepare themselves for International arena.

“It’s a platform for every young player to prepare for the future, because from here every player is focused, he has something to learn, to gain experience, to be mentally strong. So this place is very important for young players. This platform is very important for any player. Whether it is the national team in the future or playing on a big level, or showing dominance at the international level” he ended.
