Bangladesh Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has roped in by Kolkata Knight Riders (3.2 Cr) for the 14^th edition of IPL.

The base price of Shakib in this auction was 2 crore rupees. In the second set, Kolkata Knight Riders took him from the all-rounder category for INR 3.2 Cr. Kolkata and Punjab have fought to get this all-rounder.

The Southpaw has played 63 games in the IPL and scored 746 runs in addition to picking up 59 wickets. Previously Shakib has played with Kolkata Knight Riders and won in 2012 and 2014 edition, while he played with Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2018.

Apart from Shakib, five other players are in this edition’s draft. Late entry Mushfiqur Rahim and Mustafizur Rahman has a base price of INR 1 crore. Besides, Mahmudullah Riyad will be auctioned at a base price of INR 75 lakh and Mohammad Saifuddin at INR 50 lakh.

Shakib recently made his comeback in international cricket after serving a one-year suspension for failing to report approaches made to him by bookmakers. He played an important role in sealing a 3-0 series win against West Indies in the recently concluded ODI series as he picked up 6 wickets and scored 113 runs.
