National selectors to continue until futher notice- BCB

Bangladesh Cricket Board official said on Sunday that the two-member national selection panel will continue to work until further notice.
The announcement came on November 18 by BCB president Nazmul Hasan while BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury echoed the same sentiment.
‘’They will continue until further notice,’’ Nazmul told reporters during the break in the Bangabandhu Cup final.
When asked whether any decision in this regard is taken by BCB, Nizamuddin said that they are yet to sit to discuss it.
‘’Our president said that they will carry on until further discussion. As the president will not take the decision alone regarding the selectors he will have to take the decision after discussing with the board members and when the opportunity arise he will discuss and make a decision. It does not mean he will have a board meeting he can discuss with his fellow directors and take the decision.
‘’They are the former national captain and the selection team have certain success so they can continue,’’ he said.
Both Minhajul Abedin and Habibul Bashar’s term as selector ended after the 2019 World Cup in England and Wales but the BCB hierarchy has kept faith with them until the next ICC flagship event the board extended their contracts of chief selector Minhazul Abedin and selector Habibul Bashar until the 2020 World T20I in Australia.
