Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Nizamuddin Chowdhury Shujan said on Saturday that they are hopeful about getting a final decision on the Sri Lanka tour especially the 14-day quarantine period from its Sri Lankan counterpart in two days time.
Centering the 14-day quarantine period , a standoff between BCB and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been erupted.
After getting the proposal from the SLC with tough quarantine condition, the BCB informed their reluctance not to tour Sri Lanka if they don't decrease the condition of the quarantine for the touring team.

"Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) held a tri-party meeting with Ministry of Health in Sri Lanka and its National COVID-19 Control Committee to discuss the matter of 14-day quarantine for Bangladesh team," said Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
"After the outcome of the meeting, a decision will be made. We hope we will get to know it within the next one-two days," Chowdhury told media.
On the other hand, the BCB had asked Spin consultant Daniel Vettori and Craig McMillan to come here in Bangladesh to join the week-long residential camp ahead of the Bangladesh team's departure for Test series.
"New Zealand high-profile coach Daniel Vettori was slated to join the team directly in Sri Lanka. But this time we have asked them to come in Dhaka. Hopefully he will come here within the next two days," BCB CEO said.
However, Bangladesh new batting consultant Craig McMillan was also to come here with Vettori but he can't join due to his family reason.
Regarding McMillilan issue, Nizamuddin said it is unfortunate that McMillan is unable to join Bangladesh becuase his father was die.
