The Bangladesh Cricket Board has asked the Tigers spin bowling consultant Danniel Vettori and newly appointed batting consultant Craig McMillan to come to Bangladesh ahead of the upcoming Sri Lanka tour.
Both Vettori and McMillan were previously expected to travel directly to Sri Lanka from New Zealand and join the Tigers however according to BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury the board has asked both the Kiwi coaches to first arrive in Bangladesh.
“As there are some complications regarding the flights for Colombo so we have asked Vettori and McMillan to first come to Bangladesh and then travel with the team together,” Nizamuddin said on Friday
The future of the upcoming Sri Lanka tour is still in dilemma as the BCB was yet to get any update regarding the revised health protocols from the SLC till yesterday.
Meanwhile a total 53 members including 18 cricketers and 37 hotel staff have given the sample for the second corona virus test conducted by the BCB yesterday while nine cricketers outside the capital will have their corona virus test today. The cricketers were expected to check in to a hotel in Dhaka for the residential camp tomorrow.
