Don’t know when we will play Test again- Mushfiqur

Bangladesh veteran wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim is counting days to play in the white dress as he is getting bored staying at home due to corona pandemic.


Bangladesh were slated to play two Test against Australia in June and as many as Tests against New Zealand in July. The Tigers were also scheduled to tour to Sri Lanka for a three-match Test series, while one was left against Pakistan. All of this matches has been washed away due to the pandemic reason.


Player like Mushfiqur who is considered as one of the most successful batsman in Test cricket for Bangladesh was overjoyed and was eyeing to play the most traditional form of cricket.

But his joy turned into despair as there was no cricket after the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic and as it stand he is not aware when the matches will start as BCB is yet to finalize any bilateral series that got postponed for Covid 19.


Earlier, after a long-break cricket made his return through the thre-match Test series between England and West Indies. The resumption of cricket has already created a lot of hype among the cricket lovers and cricket connoisseurs. Both team are targeting to win the last match which is schedule to be played on 24 July to seal the five-dayer series.


The right-handed batsman Mushfiqur is also heated as well as showing his agony about not getting the chance to play.


"What a test match again..!!! Just love this format..evenly poised and everything to play for..!!! Congrats to England specially Ben stokes..DoN’t know when we will able to play test match again -MR15," Mushfiqur wrote on his official twitter handle.


The 33-year-old is also the first-ever wicketkeeper-batsman to hit two double centuries in Test cricket. Besides he has three double hundreds in his belt which is also highest for any Bangladesh batsman.


Recently Bangladesh Cricket Board opened four designated venues for players to do individual practice. Mushfiqur Rahim is one of the listed players who have shown interest to start his outdoor practice.


Now, it's a matter of time to see BCB taking steps to resume matches and make the lads play once again.
