The national team cricketers have started training with their own responsibility despite the fear of COVID-19
International cricket has already begun. Cricket has returned to the field in many countries. But cricket did not return to the field in Bangladesh as the situation of the coronavirus hasn't improved. It is not clear when cricket will start.
The cricketers have not yet been allowed to practice at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur due to the fear of COVID-19. Although all facilities are ready, Bangladesh Cricket Board is not responding to the request of the cricketers saying that Mirpur is in the red zone.
The national team cricketers, however, are not sitting still. Many have started practicing on their own initiative. Cricketers have been doing fitness work since the beginning of this distress period.

In the meantime, Mohammad Saifuddin started doing skill training in Feni, Mushfiqur Rahim and Taskin Ahmed in Dhaka, Sabbir Rahman in Rajshahi and Khaled Ahmed in Sylhet. They have started to do their skill training on batting and bowling. Seeing them, many more are preparing to enter the field.
Saifuddin has been staying in Feni since the beginning of the pandemic. The young pacer has been doing his running, bowling and batting at the Feni Government College ground since Ramadan. He has recently made wicket for himself. The pace bowling all-rounder also shared those video on his social media handle.
"I have been doing fitness and skill on the field of Feni Government College since Ramadan. But I can't do it now because of the rain," Saifuddin told the media yesterday.
Though the controversy has not gone away for Sabbir Rahman yet still he is concentrating on his practice. The right-handed batsman who has been out of the national team for a long time has started running at the Rajshahi Sericulture Field, doing fitness work regularly at the gymnasium at Clemon Academy and doing batting practice in indoors at the Divisional Stadium.
"Since the corona is still out there, so I am running alone in the field of Rajshahi Sericulture. I'm doing gym in Clemon. And batting in indoors at the Rajshahi Divisional Cricket Stadium," Sabbir Rahman said.
Nazmul Hossain Shanto, the top-order batsman of the national team based in Rajshahi, has also started his fitness work so far. The left-arm batsman will start batting practice soon. Jhenaidah-based fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain is doing fitness work regularly. Recently a video of his bowling practice was seen through social media. In Sylhet, two fast bowlers Khaled Ahmed and Ebadat Hossain are also working by themselves.
After coming to Dhaka, Nurul Hasan Sohan has returned back to Khulna. This wicketkeeper-batsman is practicing on his made-up wickets at his home in Khulna.
Almost all the cricketers living in Dhaka are doing fitness work while staying at their respective homes. Mushfiqur Rahim has recently started practicing skills at the Fortis Group ground in Beraid, Badda. Taskin Ahmed is also not sitting. This right-handed pacer is also working hard. He is seen bowling as well as fitness.
