Dhaka Platoon skipper Mashrafee bin Murtaza said that they are desperately looking to get back the momentum in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League.

Chattogram Challengers defeated title aspirant Platoon by 16 runs in the high scoring affair to reach the top in the point table at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Wednesday.

Though Mashrafee insisted that they are still happy despite the loss as it proved they can score 200 runs but he specifically pointed out that they cannot lose the momentum after the loss.

‘’T20 cricket is a game of momentum and when the momentum goes away, it is very important to get it back [and we must regain it in the upcoming match],’’ Mashrafee told reporters at Chattogram after the loss.

‘’I think it's too much. This wicket I have seen, 180-90 is chase-able. I think 220 is very difficult for batsmen. We couldn’t do well as bowling. It’s possible to play with calculations if the score is up to 200. 200-220 was never chased before. This is too much for the batsmen,’’ he said.

‘’Still, with the batting calculations, we could add another 10-15 runs in top order and then the game would have been different. All four of them were capable of playing shots,’’ he said.

‘’This is disappointing but at the same time, it has also proved that we are able to do 200-210 at this pitch which is a good sign. Leaving the mistakes aside, we have to look forward to the positive things,’’ he said.
