Hasan stars as Bangladesh thump Ireland to clinch ODI series

Bangladesh's all-round performance thrashed Ireland by 10 wickets in the third ODI to clinch the series 2-0 at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, on Thursday.
Following the brilliance of the pacers, the openers Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das struck an unbeaten century stand to steer Bangladesh to a commanding win against the visitors.
Liton smashed his second consecutive fifty and Tamim was unbeaten on 41 runs as they sweep the match in 13.1 overs which is also Bangladesh's first match won by a margin of 10 wickets.
Liton played a stunning 38-ball 50 runs innings which featured ten boundaries, while captain Tamim played a cautious knock of 41 striking five 4's and two sixes.
Earlier, Bangladesh bowlers' ruthless aggression depleted Ireland's batting line-up as the host were required to chase only 102 runs.
Tiger pacers set a record of taking ten wickets in an innings as Hasan Mahmud scalped his maiden ODI fifer and Taskin Ahmed and Ebadot Hossain shared the remaining wickets together to bundle Ireland within 28.1 overs.

Hasan struck the first blow, removing Stephen Doheny on 8 runs. In a span of four overs, Hasan took two consecutive wickets to get rid of Paul Stirling (7) and Harry Tector for nought. Then Taskin castled captain Andy Balbirnie (6) with a sharp edge to Najmul Hossain Shanto in the slips.
Curtis Campher joined hands with Lorcan Tucker to stitch a 42-run stand, when Irish were in a dire need of a partnership, however, "Sylhet Rocket" Ebadot picked two wickets in the same over with two signature yorkers to dismiss Tucker (28) and George Dockrell for a golden duck.
Hasan completed his maiden fifer returning Campher, who top-scored with 36 off 48, and Graham Hume as the visitors lost wickets in quick succession and eventually perished on 101 runs.
Tigers won the first ODI by a massive 183 runs and registered the highest ODI total in the second match which was later washed out due to persistent rain.
Bangladesh will play a three-match T20Is, starting on March 27.
