The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announces the squad for the T20 international series against Ireland in Chattogram.

Leg spinner Rishad Hossain and wicketkeeper-batsman Jaker Ali Anik are the new faces in the squad. Both are uncapped.

Jaker has been in excellent shape in domestic cricket across all formats. He played well for the champions Comilla Victorians in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Jaker scored 175 runs at a strike rate of 120.7 and an average of 25.

All-rounder Afif Hossain was left off of the BCB's 14-member squad list for the upcoming T20I series

Afif was also left out of the team for the final ODI against Ireland because he hasn't been scoring runs for the national team recently.

The team's management released him so he could compete in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League, where he had already appeared in a match for Abahani Limited.

For the Ireland series, pacer Shoriful Islam, who was also released from the team along with Afif, returns to the T20I squad.

On March 27, the T20I series will get underway. The dates of the second and third T20Is are March 29 and 31. The Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram will host all three games.
