Chattogram Challengers have clinched their second win in the ongoing Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League T20 as they beat Khulna Tigers by 25 runs in Mirpur Monday.

Chattogram scored 190 for seven, the highest total in this edition of BPL so far, before restricting Khulna to 165 for nine, continuing the pattern of high scores in night games in this edition of BPL.

Khulna lost two early wickets and were reduced to 27 for two in just 3.3 overs while chasing a big target. Their difficulties were compounded when opener Andre Fletcher was stretchered off after getting struck on the neck by pacer Rejaur Rahman Raja's short ball in the seventh over.

Fletcher, who was injured and forced to quit after a 12-ball 16, was alright but had been taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Khulna's lone warrior, Yasir Ali, took the game to the wire but couldn't get his team across the finish line. After a quick-fire 26-ball 40, the robust right-hander fell prey to Shoriful Islam in the last over after a 43-run sixth-wicket stand with Sikandar Raza (22 off 12).

Mehedi Hasan Miraz, the captain, and pacers Shoriful and Rejaur each took two wickets for Chattogram.

Chattogram got off to a flying start after sending to bat, with openers Will Jacks and Kennar Lewis scoring 23 from the first over bowled by Sohrawordi Shuvo.

After a fast seven-ball 17 that included a boundary and two maximums, Jacks was dismissed in the next over by pacer Kamrul Islam, but Chattogram did not falter, amassing 64 for the loss of just two wickets in the Powerplay.

After that, Sabbir Rahman (32 off 33) and skipper Mehedi Hasan Miraz (30 off 23) kept things going in the middle, putting together a crucial 48-run fourth-wicket stand before cameos from Benny Howell (34 off 20) and Naeem Islam (15 off 5) drove Chattogram to the highest total in this edition of the BPL so far.
