Bangladesh U-19 face another defeat against SL

Bangladesh U-19 suffered another neck-to-neck clash against Sri Lanka U-19 in the fourth ODI at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts chased down the target of 229 in the final over with register one wicket win over Bangladesh. Raveen de Silva’s 88 mapped the road to the victory.

Raveen was constant while others failed with the bat, he scored 88 off 100 deliveries with 9 fours and a six. After his dismissal Vinuja Ranpul also departed on 23. Then Sasanka Nirmal made the victory runs being unbeaten on 6.

Mushfik Hasan took three wickets while Ahosan Habib scalped a couple wicket for the side.

While, batting first Bangladesh posted 224 runs losing 8 wickets in the allotted overs. The skipper SM Meherob and Ariful Islam scored fifty and combined a 81 runs for the fifth wicket partnership.

Meherob was the highest run-getter, scored 52 off 71 aided by four boundaries. While Ariful scored 50 off 67 with three boundaries. In the end Tahjibul Islam played a cameo knock of 21 off 13.

Dunith Wellalage bagged four wickets while Vinuja Ranpaul, Danal Hemananda, Sasanka Nirmal and Raveen de Silva took one wicket each for the hosts.
