The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the revised squad for the final two games of the T20 international series against Zimbabwe.

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has returned to the T20 fold after 10 months while Soumya Sarkar and pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who were not in the squad for the first three matches were recalled.

"We have made three changes to our team. Shakib Al Hasan, Soumya Sarkar, and Mustafizur Rahman have joined the team. While, Parvez Hossain, Afif Hossain, and Shariful Islam were excluded from the current team," BCB selector Abdur Razzak said in a statement.

Parvez Hossain Emon and Afif Hossain were excluded from the existing 15-member squad without any appearance in the first three matches. The selector explained that Shakib replaced Afif in the team, but Afif would be given a chance as per the team's composition.

"Shakib was on leave. After returning home, he played in the Premier League and we were thinking that before the World Cup he would play some international matches. For the last two T20s, we had already planned for him. Same goes for Afif, whoever is in this team, everyone is within our system. Although perhaps not everyone can always be given the opportunity due to the combination of the team," he added.

Pacer Shoriful Islam has been rested from the last two encounters to make space for the new inclusions.

Bangladesh are currently leading the five-match series 3-0 after winning the first 3 games in Chattogram. The last two matches will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on 10 and 12 May.
