Women cricketers resume cricketing activities from January 3

Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Monday that the national women’s team’s training camp will start at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium from January 3.

The 29-member squad will undergo fitness and skills training at the month-long camp which also includes five limited overs practice matches during the camp. Foisal Hossain Decans, assistant Coach Bangladesh women’s team will oversee the training camp.

Meanwhile, Mark Robinson, former England women's team head coach, is all set to join Bangladesh in the same capacity from January, BCB women's wing chairman Nadel Chowdhury told reporters recently.

Robinson will replace Anju Jain following her departure after Bangladesh's dismal show in the ICC Women's Twenty20 World Cup in Australia where Bangladesh lost all four of their group-stage matches in the tournament.

The cricketers who have been called up to the camp are:

Ritu Moni, Khadiza-Tul Kubra, Fahima Khatun, Shamima Sultana, Sobhana Mostary, Rabeya, Puja Chakrabortty, Mumta Hena Hasnat, Suraya Azmim, Nuhat Tasnia, Most. Sharmin Akter Supta, Mst. Sarmin Sultana, Ishma Tanjim, Rubya Haider Jhilik, Aka Mollik, Mst. Fariha Islam Trisna, Mst. Shanjida Akther Maghla, Sumaiya Akter.
