Litton wins BSPA Sports Person of the Year 2022

Bangladesh's star batter Litton Das earned the Bangladesh Sports Press Association (BSPA) Sports Person of the Year 2022 award for his exploits across formats.
Litton also took home the trophy for male ‘Cricketer of the Year’ and Bangladesh women’s team captain Nigar Sultana Joty was named the best female cricketer of the year.

After taking the award, Litton said such awards will motivate players to perform well continuously.
"It feels good to receive the award. If I get it regularly or those who perform well, they will be hungrier for better performance,” said Litton.
The event took place on Sunday afternoon, the state minister for Youth and Sports of Bangladesh, Zahid Ahsan Russel was present as chief guest and distributed awards among the winners.
Afghanistan is coming to visit Bangladesh next month. Bangladesh is not getting regular captain Shakib Al Hasan in the Test series due to injury. As a result, there are rumors that Litton is going to be the captain as Shakib's replacement.
Bangladesh lost the only Test they’ve ever faced in 2019 as the Tigers are scheduled to start training tomorrow for their next Test mission.
The two teams will play the only Test in Mirpur on June 14.
