Bangladesh Cricket Board decided to give one-time monetary support to 22 wheelchair cricketers of the country.

Earlier, BCB media committee chairman Jalal Yunus announced that they have decided to give one-time monetary support to the wheelchair cricketers after the latter asked for it to country’s governing body of cricket.

"We have given monetary support to the wheelchair cricket associations also. They appealed to us. They belong to a very poor family, having a lot of trouble. We are also trying to help them, our president made this decision after consulting with the directors," Jalal Yunus said.

 

Mohammad Mohsin skipper of Bangladesh wheelchair cricket said told reporters on Monday that thanked BCB to stand beside them in this pandemic situation as after knowing the news he and his team members are quite relaxed as they feel if they can move on with this amount for some days now.

"BCB is giving 22 of us BDT 10 thousand. We haven't received the money yet but I hope we will get it quickly. Jalal Yunus sir came forward to help us. We have been largely benefited because of this. Now we can move on for some days," Mohsin said. 

 

"BCB's this kind of initiative for us was needed in this situation. Everyone in the team is a little relaxed now after hearing the news," He added

 

BCB earlier gave one-time monetary support to the non-contracted players of DPL. BCB also gave one-time monetary assistance to both contractual and non-contractual women cricketers. BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon said that they will grant one month’s wage for the groundsmen also.
