Star trio missing as Pakistan announce T20I squad for Bangladesh tour

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has unveiled a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, all of which will take place at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka.

Notably, key players Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi have not been included in the squad.

Haris Rauf is ruled out due to a hamstring injury sustained during the ongoing MLC 2025 season, while vice-captain Shadab Khan misses out as he is set to undergo shoulder surgery, sidelining him for approximately three months.
Salman Ali Agha will lead a refreshed Pakistan side, which features several returning and new faces. All-rounder Mohammad Nawaz and spinner Sufiyan Muqeem are back in the mix, while emerging fast bowler Salman Mirza has earned his maiden call-up.

Mohammad Abbas Afridi also returns after recovering from injury.
