For the first time in the history of the Pakistan Super League, a match had to go to the Super Over when Lahore Qalandar’s tied Islamabad United score. In the Super Over, however, Lahore Qalandars couldn’t defend their score of 15 and captain Brendon McCullum was criticized for it.

Sunil Narine finished with figures of 10 runs in his four overs and yet he wasn’t given the ball in the Super Over. McCullum, instead, handed the onus of defending the target to Mustafizur Rahman.
