After winning the toss and choosing to field first, Prime Doleshwar were stunned with some gritty batting performance from the in-form Abdul Mazid and his opening partner Mohammed Naim. They started well and put up 52 runs on board when Naim got out for 27.

Meanwhile, Abdul Mazid continued his glowing form to make his third 50 in the tournament. He has made three half-centuries in this year’s DPL while also scoring a century as well. He departed soon after reaching his half-century as he perished for 59 runs from 75 balls.

On the other side, Naeem Islam took over to score a half century himself. He took his score to 78 before fading at the hands of Farhad Reza. It must be said, however, that Naeem Islam played some beautiful shots to get the runs that he did.

After his departure, the onus was on the former Bangladesh Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim to do well. And so he did. He made 65 runs from 67 balls to take Rupganj’s score to 272 after the loss of 7 wickets. He was well supported by Nazmul Hossain Milon’s 17-ball 21.

For the bowlers, Arafar Sunny took three wickets while Farhad Reza picked a couple of scalps with Mohammad Arafat taking a wicket himself.

Doleshwar will now have to chase 273 runs.
