A tragic incident unfolded today as a Bangladesh Air Force training aircraft crashed into the Milestone College campus in Diabari, Uttara. So far, 19 people have been reported dead, with many others injured and currently receiving treatment at local hospitals.

Bangladesh’s cricket fraternity has expressed deep sorrow following the devastating accident. Senior cricketers including Tamim Iqbal, Mushfiqur Rahim, and Litton Das have publicly shared their condolences.

The tragedy has garnered global attention, prompting heartfelt reactions from international and domestic figures alike, including star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan.

In a Facebook post, Shakib wrote,

“The tragic event at Milestone School today has shaken us all deeply. A place of learning, where dreams are nurtured, has turned into a ground of unspeakable sorrow. So many young lives lost in an instant—countless dreams extinguished.”

“As a father, as a Bangladeshi, and above all as a human being, I feel this pain profoundly. The grief of each affected family feels personal to me.”

“Let us all pray for the souls of the deceased and for the swift recovery of the injured. In this hour of tragedy, may we stand together in support and solidarity.”
