Pakistan all-rounder Shoaib Malik is set to rejoin the Fortune Barishal on 2 February for the remainder of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Malik left Barishal's camp in the middle of the tournament due to personal reasons. According to sources, the cricketer had flown to Dubai after the end of the Dhaka phase.

Malik is expected to return with the match against Khulna Tigers on 3 February.

Following his departure, there were rumors that the franchise terminated the contract of the Pakistan all-rounder on suspicion of "fixing." However, the franchise owner dismissed the fact and cleared the rumor.
Malik failed to impress in the year's BPL as he appeared in only three matches for Barishal, scored 17, 5 and 7 runs respectively, and took only one wicket.
