A formidable 71-run stand between Shreyas Iyer and Ravichandran Ashwin led India to sweep the Test series 2-0, beating Bangladesh by three wickets at Sher e Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur.
Shreyas remained unbeaten on 29, while Ashwin partnered him with an important 42 as the duo successfully completed the 145-run chase; shattering Bangladesh's hope to win the match.

At one, stage, India were reeling at 74/7 in the innings after Shakib al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz picked up three wickets early during the morning session.

Shakib removed nightwatchman Jaydev Unadkat, who fell on 13 and Miraz returned Rishabh Pant, who had scored a valiant 93 in the first innings.
Miraz trapped Pant into an lbw as he was dismissed on 9; the latter eventually completed his five-wicket haul with the wicket of Axar Patel.
Earlier, Bangladesh had scored 231 in the second innings with Litton Das scoring an important 73. Zakir Hasan 51; in reply to India's 314.
This was an incredible chance for Bangladesh to register their first victory over India in Test as they had won 10 of the 12 Test matches since 2000, including five victories by an innings, and there had been two draws, the last in 2015.
