The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked all the eight participating team in Indian Premier League (IPL) to ensure that every member complete two doses of vaccines before traveling to UAE for the resumption of the 14th edition of IPL.

This suggests Bangladesh premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and pacer Mustafizur Rahman have to complete their vaccination before they travel to UAE.

"We have been told that all those traveling should have completed taking both the doses of vaccination so that there is no problem once teams reach UAE. The quarantine process is most likely going to be seven days before teams can start training," according to a source.

Mustafiz had his first dose of the vaccination before the tour of New Zealand earlier this year. Shakib received the vaccination while on leave in the United States. Cricketers competing in the IPL will be quarantined for at least seven days, even if they receive two doses of vaccination.

The BCCI confirmed the itinerary for the remainder of the IPL, which will resume on 19th September in Dubai with a blockbuster clash between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. A total of 31 matches will be played over the course of 27 days.
