Cricket Australia (CA) has set a number of conditions before staging the T20I series against Bangladesh. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said they are not doing anything extra for the visitors. He also commented that this is 'New Normal' in the current Corona situation.

CA has mandated a 10-day mandatory quarantine for all players, support staff, umpires, match officials, and even field crew. Everyone must stay in the bio-bubble zone throughout the series.

However, Nizam Uddin said, they are adhering to the standard bio-bubble zone for Australia. He also said they are only trying to meet the extra demands.

"We have established a standard bio-bubble zone protocol in the current situation," said the BCB CEO.

"Apart from that, the Australian team demanded some additional demands and we have successfully fulfilled them. We have met their conditions successfully. This is a ‘new normal’ in the current situation and this is how we have to manage our events,” he added.

For the strict rules and conditions, wicket-keeper batsman Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim were ruled out from the five-match T20 series as they have to break the bio-bubble for personal reasons.

The Aussies last visited Bangladesh in 2017 for a two-match Test series in which the Tigers recorded their historic, first-ever win in the longest format against Australia and leveled the series 1-1.
