Australia will arrive in Bangladesh on July 27 to play five T20 Internationals as Cricket Australia (CA) had imposed some stringent requirements on the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) before their visit. In organizing the series, the BCB has agreed to all of Australia's stipulations.

The series was supposed to be held in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur and the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong, according to BCB's plans. However, because of the ongoing Corona problem, Australia is hesitant to play outside of a venue. CA stated that they would only participate if the series was conducted at a single location.

The second requirement is that Australia team will not conduct open immigration at the airport after they get in Bangladesh. The squad members will proceed to the team hotel immediately after leaving their passports with their officials. The team hotel must also be to their taste. They will not be able to bring any outside guests into the hotel where they will be staying.

CA's conditions have been accepted by the BCB. Jalal Yunus, the chief of the BCB's media section, confirmed the situation.

"Australia had some demands before visiting Bangladesh. We have worked with them. 5 matches of the series will be organized in one venue [In Mirpur]. The Australian team will go straight to the hotel from immigration. Passports will be returned to them at the end of the airport process," Jalal said to media.

In the hotel where both teams will stay, there will be stricter protocols as well. The BCB is staying at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon in Dhaka's central business district, where both the West Indies and Sri Lanka stayed during their respective tours this year.

"It is the same bio-bubble that we had for West Indies and Sri Lanka. CA asked us to address certain pockets in the hotel where outsiders were allowed, like some of the restaurants. Those will be closed during the course of the Australia tour" he added.

It will be Bangladesh's first-ever bilateral T20 international series against the five-time world champions.
