Bangladesh left-arm pace bowler Mehedi Hasan Rana and left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed have been included in the players’ draft of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) for the upcoming 2020 edition.

Rana and Nasum have both played for Chattogram Challengers in the special edition of the Bangabandhu-Bangladesh Premier League (B-BPL) and drew attention with their outstanding performances from all the corners.

Following the B-BPL performance, Nasum Ahmed got his maiden T20 call from the Bangladesh national team ahead of the last home series against Zimbabwe but he did not play any match against the visiting African side.

Imago event management is working on behalf of these two players.

The CPL auction for the foreign players will take place on June 24. Both the players can be bid in the tenth round and their base price is US$15,000. If more than one team is interested in buying these players their price will rise to US$5000 per bid.

Bangladesh T20 captain Mahmudullah Riyad has also been included in the upcoming edition of the CPL as well as this couple of the Tigers’ players.

CPL is going to be the first franchise league T20 tournament after the coronavirus pandemic if everything goes on according to plan. The tournament is scheduled to start from August 18 and the final is scheduled to be held on September 10.
