India opening batsman Rohit Sharma revealed that Shikhar Dhawan singing has caught Tamim Iqbal by surprise in the  2015 Tri-nation series.

Bangladesh and India played a bilateral three-match one-day series where the tigers won their first-ever one series against their India counterpart by 2-1.

Rohit and Dhawan fine partnership was visible  off the field too when the two along with Mayank Agarwal were interacting with each other in a video posted by the BCCI on its Twitter handle

In the video, Agarwal asks Dhawan to sing a song in Punjabi.

In reply, Dhawan said that he doesn’t sing well and it is India skipper Virat Kohli who does a better job at singing Punjabi songs. He, however, went on to sing a few lines.

And as soon as he was done with singing, Rohit Sharma revealed the funny incident that took place on India’s tour of Bangladesh in 2015. India’s limited-overs vice-captain revealed how Dhawan had amazed Bangladesh star Tamim Iqbal with his singing.

‘’We were playing in Bangladesh in 2015 as I was standing in the first slip and Shikhar Dhawan was in the third slip. Suddenly he started singing very loudly. The bowler was already in his run up and the batsman, Tamim Iqbal, was left amazed. He didn’t understand where the noise was coming from,” said Rohit.

“It might not sound as funny right now but when it happened on the field we couldn’t control our laughter, it was really funny,” he added.
