Mashrafee postpone post-World Cup retirement

Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said that he is not thinking about retiring from cricket after the ongoing World Cup in England.
Although Mashrafe said that this World Cup would definitely be his last but also informed that he is yet to give a thought on his retirement from international cricket altogether.
"This is definitely my last World Cup, but I will not be retiring after the tournament," Mashrafe told reporters at
"I don't want to think about it at the moment, especially with the tournament still in progress. It is a distraction. People become emotional during these times.” said Mashrafe.
Bangladesh are now currently placed fifth in the points table with seven points from as many games in the World Cup and are still very much in the race for the semi-finals. And the skipper does not want to think about anything that would hinder his or his team’s focus from the World Cup
Bangladesh need to win their remainder of their two games against India and Pakistan in order to keep their semifinal hopes alive. The Tigers play their next game against India on July 2 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. As for Bangladesh Cricket Board bosses speaking to him about his future, Mashrafe has their backing too. "He is leading the side very well, so we are not thinking of anything at the moment," BCB director Jalal Yunus said. "The decision is up to him, whether he wants to continue playing and leading the side or not. We leave the ball in his court.
"The board is fully focused on the World Cup, as we are now in with a chance to play in the semi-finals."
