Despite being going through poor batting patch, Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes kept his full faith on opener Tamim Iqbal, extolling him as the game changer. The English-born coach believes, Tamim has all the ingredients to dominate the cricketing World.
“ He [ Tamim ] is a game changer. His attacking batting is envious to everyone. He is a player who can dominate the cricketing World,” Rhodes said.

Tamim has a great impact on Bangladesh’s current success in World Cricket. He has constructed the ground level for victory in many matches. He has scored 11 centuries and 46 half centuries in his illustrious career. Tamim is also the top scorer for Bangladesh across the formats.
Not only Rhodes, Bangladesh’s pace bowling coach Courtney Walsh also praised Tamim, saying that he has the knack to execute the game plans very well and he is also a great motivator.
“The thing that I like most about Tamim is that he knows what he wants to do and he knows his game plan. He works hard in training. His fitness is at the top at this moment. He is a people’s person, he looks after the younger players. He is one of our best players and he is also a great organizer,” Courtney said.
But in this World cup, Tamim didn’t do justice to his name. Against South Africa, New Zealand and England he just scored 16,24 and 19 runs.
