The schedule for the 2018 Asia Cup has been confirmed and the tournament will be held between 18 and 30 September in the United Arab Emirates.
Six teams divided into two groups of three sides will see every team facing the other two, once each. The top-two teams from each group will advance to the Super 4 where a total of six matches will be played in a round-robin system. The top two teams from the Super 4 stage will then face each other in the final match on September 30.
The matches will be held in two different venues across the country. Bangladesh will play their first match against Sri Lanka on the opening day of the competition, in Dubai. They will face Afghanistan in their second and last group clash on September 20, in Abu Dhabi.
The much-hyped India-Pakistan clash will be held on September 19, in Dubai. The other member of their group will be determined via a qualifier among the UAE, Hong Kong, Nepal, Singapore, Malaysia and Oman.
Unlike the last edition which was played in T20I format, this competition will be played in ODI format.
