Ahmed Shehzad tested positive for marijuana

Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad could face a three-month-long suspension due to a positive test result for doping. The decision is expected to be announced within the next few days.
Shehzad was tested during the Pakistan Cup, the country’s domestic List A tournament, where his team—Balochistan ended with the wooden spoon after managing only one win in four matches.
The 26-year-old captained the team and amassed 251 runs at an average of 62.75. He then replaced an injured Babar Azam in the Pakistan T20I team and totaled only 38 runs in two matches against Scotland this month.

“A player has reportedly tested positive for a prohibited substance. But under ICC rules, PCB cannot name the player or chargesheet him until the chemical report is CONFIRMED by the Anti-Dope Agency of the government. We should have an answer in a day or two,” PCB media stated through their twitter handle.
On the other hand, a Pakistani sports analyst, Zainab Abbas, has revealed that Shehzad has been tested positive for marijuana.
