Bangladesh U19 clinch series against SA
Bangladesh U-19 sealed the three-match ODI series in style with a commanding 104-run victory over South Africa U-19 in the second match at Benoni. Back-to-back dominant performances saw the visitors take an unassailable 2–0 lead with one match to spare.

Opting to bat first after losing the toss, Bangladesh posted 265 for 9, thanks to half-centuries from Zawad Abrar (57 off 53), Azizul Hakim Tamim (67 off 90), and Rizan Hossain (52 off 71). Zawad hit 6 fours and 1 six, continuing his fine form with another fifty after scoring one in the previous game.

Azizul Hakim anchored the innings superbly, bringing up his half-century in 69 balls and eventually finishing with a 67-run knock. Rizan, too, followed up his previous match fifty with another composed effort. Contributions from Ratul (25), Foysal (14), and Fahad (15) added late runs to take Bangladesh past the 260-mark.
South Africa’s James and Botha took two wickets each, while Bason and Ntando Soni picked up one apiece.

In reply, the hosts faltered early and never truly recovered. Captain Muhammad Bulbulia, who scored a fifty in the first game, was dismissed for just 2. Despite Jason Rowles scoring a fighting 51 off 65 balls, South Africa was bowled out for 161 in 39.3 overs.
Adnan Lagardien and Armaan Manack fell cheaply, while Botha contributed a modest 26 — the second-best score of the innings.
Bangladesh’s bowlers kept things tight throughout, with Al Fahad, Azizul Hakim, and Swadhin Islam each grabbing two wickets. Their disciplined effort restricted South Africa well short of the target.
With two emphatic wins — both by margins over 100 runs — Bangladesh U-19 have already claimed the series, underlining their dominance in all departments. The third and final match will be a chance for them to complete a whitewash, while South Africa will look to salvage pride at home.
