Sri Lanka announce 16-member squad for ODI series against Bangladesh

Sri Lanka announce ODI squad
Following the conclusion of the ongoing Test series, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are set to face off in a three-match ODI series. While the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had earlier announced their squad, Sri Lanka has now revealed a 16-member squad for the series.

Wicketkeeper-batter Sadeera Samarawickrama and fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka make their return to the ODI setup. However, pacer Milan Ratnayake, though included, will need to pass a fitness test before being cleared to play, as confirmed by Sri Lanka’s selectors.

This will be Sri Lanka’s first ODI series since they last played against Australia in February. From that squad, Lahiru Kumara and Mohamed Siraj have been left out, while young batter Nuwanidu Fernando has also been omitted.
The ODI series will begin with the first two matches on July 2 and 5 in Colombo, while the third and final match will be held on July 8 in Kandy. Following the ODIs, the two teams will also play a three-match T20I series.
