Virat Kohli hints at India middle-order shuffles

India captain Virat Kohli has spoken about India’s middle-order combination ahead of their tour of England. With a plethora of batsmen in form during the Indian Premier League, India have a lot of options to choose from.
As a result, captain Virat Kohli has stated that the Indian team will use a number of combinations in the middle order as a means to throw off the hosts with “surprises” – which is a decision taken unanimously by the management and Kohli himself.
“Look, we’ve already announced we will experiment with the middle-order a lot,” the 29-year-old told reporters.
“Even in the next few T20 games, even in England, we will look to throw in guys and surprise the opposition.

“We’re going to give everyone a go in this series. The management and me as captain decided it.”
India will take on England in a tour consisting of three ODIs and T20Is, respectively, and a five-match Test series. While India are the favourites for the Test series given that England haven’t enjoyed the best of spells in red-ball cricket, the latter’s dominance in ODIs is telling.
Eoin Morgan’s side completely dismantled Australia in their recently-concluded ODI series and a one-off T20 match. The hosts beat a depleted Australian side 5-0 in the ODI series and also completed their white-ball dominance by winning the sole T20I match.
