It seems as though Mohammad Ashraful is willing to do anything to get back to the Bangladesh national team. In a bid to make a comeback, he is now going to set foot on English soil to play for Coventry and North Warwickshire Cricket Club (CNWCC).

The former Bangladesh captain has shown a lot of grit and diligence over the last few years. Indeed, playing in the National Cricket League, a first-class cricket league in Bangladesh, he scored a century last year to get the ball rolling.

It doesn’t stop there, however, as he has been doing well for Kalabagan Krira Chakra in the Dhaka Premier League as well. Despite getting out for a duck in their recent game against Shinepukur Cricket Club, Ashraful scored a century in the ongoing tournament when he smashed 104 runs against Prime Doleshwar.

According to our source, the former Bangladesh captain is set to play domestic cricket in England once the curtains on the Dhaka Premier League are drawn. He has apparently signed a contract that obliges him to play for CNWCC from April till August and will take part in it with the No-Objection Certificate from the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Our source further adds that apart from visa-related issues, everything else has been completed with regards to Ashraful playing in England.

This is not the first time that the right-handed batsman took part in foreign leagues as he played for FHS Sports Club in England in 2016 and also for a local cricket club in New York, USA.
