Joy, who was dropped before getting off the mark, remained unbeaten on 28, while Mominul provided support with a composed 15* as the Tigers began to chip away at Zimbabwe’s 82-run lead.

Blessing Muzarabani struck early for the visitors, dismissing Shadman for 4 with a delivery that seamed in from around the wicket, finding the edge and landing safely in the keeper’s gloves.

Earlier in the day, Zimbabwe built their lead through crucial contributions across the board. Sean Williams (59) and Brian Bennett (57) laid the platform with half-centuries, while support came from Wesley Madhevere (24), Mayavo (35), and valuable lower-order runs from Richard Ngarava (28*) and Muzarabani (17), taking them to 273.

For Bangladesh, Mehedi Hasan Miraz starred with the ball, claiming 5 for 52 to wrap up the lower-middle order, while young pacer Nahid Rana provided key breakthroughs at the top, finishing with three wickets.

Despite Zimbabwe’s balanced effort, they couldn’t convert their starts into a commanding lead, leaving the contest evenly poised heading into Day 3.
