Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has contributed in the fund raising movement of cricketers. However, he also has a responsibility as a public representative. Due to the coronavirus crisis, Mashrafe and his family are providing food assistance to more than one and a half thousand families.

Narail-2 constituency MP Mashrafe give this assitance to his constituencies in Narail Sadar and Lohagara upazilas. The fund is being set up in conjunction with his personal money and family.

Tea, rickshaw-van drivers and hawkers are mainly getting support for Mashrafe's first round in Narail. More than 300 families are being given a packet of nine kg which includes, five kg rice, one kg of Dal, oil, onions and potatoes.

Mashrafe's maternal uncle Nahidul Islam is overseeing this support program in Narail. He informed a private news media that,

"After instructing everyone to stay home all over the country, the people who are tea dealers, hawkers, van drivers, are probably facing the most problem. That's why we're helping them first. We have taken this initiative where we raise the fund with Mashrafe, his grandfather Hashmat Ullah and with some member of our family.”

Mashrafe's assistance is also under way. This assistance will going to provide to 1,200 distressed families in Narail and Lohagara. There will be rice, dal, potatoes, onions and soap along with 10 kg of rice for each family. Mashrafe's uncle said that the distribution process will start within the next three to four days after the ordered rices consignments come.

Also, Narail's doctors and nurses are offered 500 personal protective equipment (PPE) from Mashrafe's personal initiative. They are expected to receive the invoice on Saturday.

Mashrafe, has formed a 'QR (Quick Response) team' under the supervision of Narail's police superintendent, who will respond immediately to any urgent need for coronavirus.
 

Not only Narail, Mashrafe's wife, Sumana Haque, is already in the process of providing food assistance to about 200 people in their neighborhood of Dhaka. This assistance will be provided to rickshaw-van drivers, tea vendors in Mirpur-Pallabi.
