The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has established a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the team's disappointing performance in the World Cup. Chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu, along with cricketers Litton Das and Mustafizur Rahman, responded to the committee's summons on Sunday afternoon to provide explanations.
The inquiry committee initiated discussions with the selection panel, where Nannu was accompanied by fellow selector Habibul Bashar. The meeting took place in Gulshan and focused on understanding the reasons behind the World Cup failure. However, no statements were made to the media by any of the individuals involved.

Subsequently, Mustafiz and Litton faced the inquiry committee for further questioning. The committee plans to meet with additional cricketers, team captains, and directors, and will also hold discussions with the coaching staff to comprehend the factors contributing to the team's poor performance.
In attendance during the meetings were BCB director Enayet Hossain Siraj, BCB director Mahbubul Anam, Akram Khan, and BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury.
The Bangladesh team had set out for the World Cup in India with aspirations of reaching the semi-finals but returned with two victories out of 9 matches. Following this significant setback, the BCB took swift action by forming a three-member investigation committee to assess the situation.
