Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha has returned to Dhaka to join the Tigers ahead of the two-match Test series against New Zealand.

Bangladesh cricket team returned home following the World Cup debacle on November 12 along with the head coach and other coaching staff. However, Hathurusingha flew back to his family in Australia seeking leave from the board.

There were rumors that BCB was parting ways with the Lankan coach after they made a couple of changes in the team management.

Tigers’ former bowling coach Allan Donald, Rangana Herath and analyst Shrinivas Chandrasekaran were not interested in renewing their contract after the World Cup.

Meanwhile, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) did not extend the contract with fielding coach Shane McDermott.

However, the head coach is all set to join the Tigers keeping all the rumors aside. New coaches Corey Collymore and David Hemp will assisted by the head coach in the upcoming series.

HP head coach Hemp was appointed as the batting coach and Corey will deal with the pace-bowling unit.

The first test will be on November 26 at Sylhet International Stadium. The second test match will be held at the Mirpur Sher e Bangla National Cricket Stadium from December 6 to 10.
