Hridoy opens up about Sri Lankan players not shaking hands

Bangladesh batter Towhid Hridoy opened up about the sledging incident and Sri Lankan players not shaking hands after the World Cup match.
Despite a rough phase, Hridoy found his form back against Sri Lanka and scored 15 off seven balls smashing two sixes. During the match, Hridoy and Charith Asalanka were spotted exchanging heat during Bangladesh's chase, however, Hridoy revealed that he plays better when gets sledded by the opponents.
"There was some sledging going on in the field, and that's natural, it's part of the game. Personally, I enjoyed it. When sledging happens, I play well," said Hridoy.
Hridoy stated the Sri Lankan players didn't come for the customary handshake between the teams after the match and there was nothing much they could do about it.
"We went there [to shake hands after the match], they didn't want to. There is nothing much we can do about that," he said.
Hridoy supported Shakib al Hasan and believed Angelo Mathews’s dismissal was 100% fair and it happened as per ICC rules.
"Personally, I feel it was 100 percent fair and we all were in agreement to take the wicket. Because it's in the rules. We didn't go against the ICC rules. How he [Mathews] or they [Sri Lanka] will react to it, is up to them. We felt it's in the rules and we didn't do anything against the rules," he added.
The incident took place during the World Cup match when Mathews came to bat but his helmet’s strap was broken while he waited for the replacement, Shakib appealed to the umpires and he was given out.
According to the laws of cricket, after the fall of a wicket or the retirement of a batsman, the incoming player must be ready to receive the ball within two minutes.
