South Africa U19 take lead 2-1 against Bangladesh

South Africa U19 won by four wickets in the third Youth ODI against Bangladesh in Khulna as they now lead 2-1 in the five-match series.


After winning the toss in the rain-hit match, Bangladesh scored 241 runs for 9 wickets in 48 overs. South Africa chase this run down with 5 balls to spare.


Opener Mohammad Rizwan scored 77 runs with 4 sixes and 2 fours helped Bangladesh to put this total, while Mahfuzur Rabbi played an innings of 74 runs off 66 balls with 4 sixes and 3 fours.

For South Africa Lhuan-dre Pretorius has scored 66 runs in the run chase with 3 sixes and 5 fours and won the man of the match award.


Thebe Gazide, another South African opener, scored 53 with 1 six and 7 fours. 125 runs came from the opening pair of the two of them.


The two teams will face each other in the fourth ODI in Rajshahi next Friday.
